My plan of the MA phase

According to my subject of study and research question, I have a preliminary plan of MA phase.

My subject of study:

My subject of study is how the director and script writer use film skills to change the character’s emotion is depicted in film, in particular to explore what is the director influence as opposed to the script writer.

My research question:

How do other directors present characters’ emotion change in fictional films?

My plan of MA phase:

1. Practice my technology of photography and edit. Make sure I know well these two film skills.

2. Write 2~3 screenplays by myself.

3. I will continue to make several short films in this phase to explore how to present character's emotion.

4. I will shoot 1~2 film by my screenplay, and give it to another director to shoot another one.(Or this director just draw the story board for my screenplay) To find the difference between two versions, interview the director and do research on how other director present character's emotion change in the film.

5. Read some famous film's screenplay before watch the film. Draw the story board of these films, then watch the film and compare with my story board.

6. Read some screenplays of the top 50 greatest films of all time before watch the film. Shoot a short part of the screenplay. Then compare with the original edition to find out the disparity.(address:http://www.bfi.org.uk/news/50-greatest-films-all-time)

7. I still will watch more films and analyze some of them on my blog. Visit some museum and Expo in UK.
