In this island, there are endless foods, fresh water and charming scenery so that Pi love this island. He did not want to leave because he do not want to face the unknown and death. In one moment, he wants to stay here forever. He even uses his girlfriend's red rope tied with the tree. It means he was reluctant to leave here.

However, night falls. He found these fresh water starts to swallow fishes. These fathomless lake are "eating" fishes in the night which it rearing during the day. At the same time, he found a human tooth in a tree leaves.

Day and night. Give and exact. Eat and been eaten. This is the life here. This is real humanity's life, this is survived's brutal.

Can we still believe in God? Did God abandoned us? Remembered when Pi was a child, he asked the priest: God sent his son to the earth, to endure endless suffering. Why it's love?
